Stinky Creek
The foul creatures of 'Stinky Creek' had had enough!
Enough of being lonely, enough of feeling isolated.
Enough of feeling different and left out.
All the creatures living in the creeks nearby never visited because, apparently, their creek was way too stinky.
'Come and visit us!' yelled Pong, Stench and Malodor.
'No way, your creek is way too stinky, Pwor,' the creatures from the other three creeks yelled back, their echoes carried over the trees, rocks and grass.
'We're never ever going to visit you. You reek!' they added.
'We reek?' pondered Stench, 'Hey is that a good or a bad thing?' he asked Malodor.
'I dun-nose,' replied Malodor, 'Is that a good or a bad thing Pong?'
'Maybe,' Pong said as he sucked some water up into his snout from his beloved 'Stinky Creek'.
The creatures of 'Stinky Creek' decided that they wanted some other friends to play with; they were tired of playing the same old games with each other over and over.
And so, if they wanted visitors, the creatures of Stinky Creek decided that they had to make their creek more inviting.
'How do we change it so it's not a stinky creek?' pondered Pong.
'Our creek isn't stinky, it's beautiful.' Stench thought out aloud.
'Nah, can't be our gorgeous creek that reeks,' agreed Malodor.
'Well, we call it 'Stinky Creek', so maybe it's the sign we made!' suggested Stench.
'Yeah, the sign!' added Malodor. Their heads turned together to look at their creek sign.
STINKY CREEK
'Simple then! Let's just change the sign,' suggested Pong.
'What do you mean?' asked Stench, 'How do you change a sign?'
'We change its name,' answered Pong.
'Yeah, so if it's not 'Stinky Creek' anymore, it won't stink!' Malodor danced about on all his legs.
They held a 'Stinky Creek' creatures meeting to change the creek's name.
'Then maybe we can name it 'Nice Smelling Creek',' said Malodor with a sigh.
'Or 'Sweet Smelling Red Roses and Fruitful Flowers Creek',' said Stench falling back onto the grass.
'Nah, cut the flowers and roses rubbish, how about just 'Sweet Smelling Creek'?' said Pong as he threw up his bundle of arms.
'Yeah, let's make up a new sign,' the three creatures snorted together, 'Sweet Smelling Creek'.
They spent the next day and night making up a new sign, they had to find a perfectly rotten piece of wood for the board, nice oil and mud from the creek to write with. Once the sign was written, they attached it to a wooden stake and hammered it into the ground.
SWEET SMELLING CREEK
They felt good about themselves and their newly named creek.
They had changed the name, made up a new sign and now all they had to do was wait for their visitors.
